Activity description:
This activity will walk the reader in great detail over the concepts of selecting scleral contact lens for fitting the irregular cornea and the fundamentals of the particular product including selection and follow up modifications in achieving proper visual acuity and maintaining eye health. Elsa Lee’s Biography
Elsa is a career-oriented individual who has been in the eyecare industry ever since she joined Josephson Opticians after graduating with her BA from York University in 2001. Following 10 successful years working as a Managing Optician,Elsa decided it was time to broaden her career by focusing on the technical side of optics and took on the role of Technical Specialist with Essilor.
After gaining invaluable experience with Essilor, Elsa decided it was time to apply her front and back-office experience combined with her patient caring skills to support the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (now Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada) as a Low Vision Therapist. While at the CNIB Elsa supported thousands of patients and also worked as a part-time instructor for Seneca’s Opticianry Program – this was Elsa’s way of ensuring she imparted her knowledge to the next generation of opticians.
Elsa is presently the Ontario and BC Territory Manager for Coopervision Blanchard Speciality Contact Lenses division.
